The demo ran on modest hardware, and the 7.25 patch cut GPU load by roughly 50% via scene rendering optimization — making the minimum spec softer than it looks on paper.
  2. The recommended spec is about bullet counts, not pixels. RTX 3060 + 8 GB is the "extreme build" spec. The developers' own 7.30 letter explains why: "the core of Pass the Fear's combat thrill comes from the fact that every bullet is calculated independently, and most of our triggers do not have hard limits." Screen-filling builds stress the CPU/GPU far more than a typical 2D game.
