hololive Dreams multiplayer guide: online Lives with up to five players, room modes, the fever gauge, multiplayer mini-games, crossplay, and fixing desync.
hololive Dreams Multiplayer — Live Together and Online Modes
Multiplayer in hololive Dreams (holodori) comes in two flavors: online Lives ("Live Together" — co-op rhythm clears with up to five players) and multiplayer mini-games (the 16-player Mega Circuit, 4-player Pokajan!, and a new multiplayer mini-game promised for late August 2026). Multiplayer is optional — everything is playable solo — but it's the fastest source of team-building resources and the natural home of the game's social loop. This guide covers how to unlock it, the room modes, the fever gauge mechanic, cross-platform play, and the launch-window connection issues. The rhythm fundamentals live in the how to play guide.
Unlocking Multiplayer
Live Together opens after clearing Main Quest Chapter 1, Episode 4 (per NamuWiki's system page). That's roughly 1–2 hours in if you follow the main quest — you don't need to finish the tutorial area first. The mini-games unlock on their own schedules: Mega Circuit at Chapter 2 Episode 2, Pokajan! at Chapter 2 Episode 8.
Room Modes and Matchmaking
Live Together offers three room types, per NamuWiki:
- FREE — match with any players; pick a song or let the game auto-select
- GRADE — matches you with players near your unit score; the competitive option
- PRIVATE — create or join a room with friends (this is where your cross-platform party lives)
Quality-of-life details: you can enable auto-match with auto-play users only (only players who turned auto on get matched with each other), and an incognito mode hides your name and profile (it doesn't apply in PRIVATE rooms). If another player selects a song you haven't unlocked, you can still play it in that room — a legit way to preview locked tracks.
The Fever Gauge (The Co-op Mechanic)
The distinctive mechanic of Live Together is the shared fever gauge: five players charge it together by hitting notes, then activate it during the highlight section for bonus points. Per NamuWiki, the gauge can be charged before the highlight, and coordinating the trigger across five players is the skill gap of the mode. Even if your life hits 0 mid-song you can keep playing, but your individual score stops accumulating at that point.
Oozora Subaru is the community pick for online rooms — her team-wide buffs scale with group size. The tier list ranks her as the co-op specialist, and the team building guide has a full co-op composition.
How Many Players?
- Live Together: up to 5 players per room
- Mega Circuit: up to 16 players per race
- Pokajan!: exactly 4 players
- New multiplayer mini-game: announced for late August 2026 (tracked in the updates guide)
Crossplay and Cross-Save
Multiplayer is cross-platform: iOS, Android, and Steam players share the same matchmaking pool. Your account also carries between platforms if you link it (Menu → Account Management → Set Link Password), so a Steam player can join a mobile friend's PRIVATE room and vice versa. Two caveats documented by the community:
- Leaderboards are separated per platform — and as of August 2026, PC players have been excluded from score-rate rankings and some event leaderboards entirely (a major Steam complaint on the community hub); see the platforms guide
- Paid currency is platform-tied — diamonds bought on iOS stay on iOS
Launch Connection Issues (and the Fix Status)
Launch-week players reported desync and frame drops in multiplayer rooms, especially across platforms. The Ver. 1.0.100 patch (July 29) included fixes for Mega Circuit and Pokajan! specifically, per the official patch news, and the developers have been patching live-room issues since. If you still hit sync problems: restart the room with a host on a wired connection, and prefer PRIVATE rooms over FREE matchmaking for stable sessions.

Official source: the official System page lists "MEGA CIRCUIT — A chaotic obstacle race for up to 16 players!" and a card game where you build winning hands among the multiplayer content, alongside "mini-games that can be enjoyed alone or with friends."
