hololive Dreams events guide: event point rallies, the Hello! Brand New Summer! and Synchro Summer Sparkle events, the swimsuit gacha, and event song unlocks.
hololive Dreams Events — Summer Events, Swimsuit Gacha, and Event Songs
hololive Dreams (holodori) launched its live-service event cycle within a week of release: the first limited event, Hello! Brand New Summer!, ran July 28 – August 5, and the follow-up Synchro Summer Sparkle took over August 7–15. Events are how the game grows between patches — new songs, limited 5-star cards, and story beats — and they're also where free players earn their best rewards. This guide explains the standard event structure, the two summer events in detail, the swimsuit gacha, and how event songs work. Patch-level context lives in the updates guide.
How Event Point Rallies Work
The standard holodori event template (per Game8's event coverage and the hololivedream.wiki event archive):
- Earn Event Pt and Event Badges by playing Lives and mini-games during the event window
- Featured members multiply points — the event's limited 5-star cards carry +Event Pt passives (the swimsuit cards gave +60% Event Pt on featured stages)
- Exchange Event Badges for growth materials, event memories, and rewards in the event shop
- Rankings award extra rewards — with the ongoing caveat that the PC version has been excluded from some event leaderboards (see the platforms guide)
Hello! Brand New Summer! (July 28 – August 5, 2026)
The first-ever holodori event, covered by Game8:
- Story: Oozora Subaru, Shiranui Flare, Shirogane Noel, Tsunomaki Watame, and Otonose Kanade team up to turn the island's coastline into a beach getaway. Requires clearing Main Story Chapter 1 Episode 4 "Mythical Connection" to unlock
- Six event songs: Bakunatsu!! Tropica Vacation (holodori original), Hot Duck! (Subaru), Homenobi (Noel), You & Aizu (Kanade), plus covers — UNDEAD (YOASOBI, Flare) and Renai Circulation (Kana Hanazawa, Watame)
- Paired banner: the Sunny Summer Vacay gacha (July 28 11:00 – August 7 10:59 JST) added five ★5 swimsuit cards with matching Park and Live outfits, plus a Select Gacha letting you raise one featured member's rate
- Rewards: Event Pt milestones, badges, memories, and ranking titles
Synchro Summer Sparkle (August 7–15, 2026)
The follow-up event currently active (at the time of writing), tracked on the official Google Play events feed and the hololivedream.wiki events hub. It follows the same point-rally structure; the events hub maintains the live details and shop contents.
The Swimsuit Gacha: Limited or Permanent?
The Sunny Summer Vacay swimsuit 5-stars (Subaru, Flare, Noel, Watame, Kanade) are limited-time cards — they were only available July 28 – August 7, 2026. As of mid-August, no rerun has been announced. The community expectation (from the Reddit swimsuit discussion and the X announcement) is that limited cards return via future rerun banners, but nothing is confirmed. If a swimsuit card is your oshi's best version, budget blue diamonds for the rerun when it comes.
Both the event (Aug 5 end) and the swimsuit gacha (Aug 7 end) have passed for the first summer event. Event structure recurs, but specific limited cards are gone until a rerun. Check the current event's end time before spending — the events hub tracks live deadlines.
How Event Songs Work
Event songs play during the event window and are added to the permanent library afterward — the six Brand New Summer tracks, including the covers, remain playable now that the event has ended (per the event archive). This is how the song list keeps growing beyond the 150+ launch library: events are song-delivery vehicles first and reward vehicles second.
Event Preparation Checklist
- Clear Main Story Chapter 1 Episode 4 before event day — the unlock requirement for event story
- Link your account so event progress registers across devices (see the platforms guide)
- Bank Live Boosts and mini-game boosts in the days before the event — the point grind consumes them
- Decide your banner budget in advance — limited 5-stars with +Event Pt passives are the difference between event-floor and event-top rewards (see the gacha guide)
- Check the current event's leaderboard rules — PC players may be excluded; if you're on Steam, mobile is the event-complete platform

Official source: Game8's event announcement — "The event coincides with the release of the 'Sunny Summer Vacation,' a limited-time banner that features new 5-Star swimsuit cards for the same five talents."

Who is in the swimsuit gacha? Oozora Subaru, Shiranui Flare, Shirogane Noel, Tsunomaki Watame, and Otonose Kanade — five ★5 swimsuit cards with Park and Live outfits, available July 28 – August 7, 2026.
How do I get event songs? They're free during the event (play them from the event menu) and added to the permanent library after the event ends. The summer event's six songs are permanently available now.
What event is active right now? Synchro Summer Sparkle (August 7–15, 2026) followed the Brand New Summer event. The events hub tracks the live event, deadlines, and shop contents.
