Official source: Pre-Order Bonuses and Editions — Halo Waypoint — "Halo: Campaign Evolved launches on XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Steam on July 28, 2026, with early access beginning July 23, 2026."

Standard ($49.99)

The base edition is the full game — all 13 missions, 42 skulls, 13 terminals, Campaign Remix, 4-player co-op with crossplay. Available digitally everywhere and physically at retail (Xbox and PS5 discs exist; the disc acts as a license with a substantial download). It's the version Game Pass subscribers effectively get, and the version most people should buy.

Premium Edition Contents

The Premium Edition (also listed as Digital Premium in official materials) is $69.99 and adds:

  • Alpha Halo Armory Pack — 5 Master Chief armor skins and 6 weapon skins (the pack is included with Premium, Collector's, and the $20 upgrade)
  • Art of Halo: Campaign Evolved — digital artbook covering the remake's design process
  • Halo: Hungry Buzzards — digital short story expanding the lore
  • Digital Game Manual — a modern homage to the original 2001 manual
  • Up to 5 days of early access — play starting July 23, 2026 (this was the big pre-order hook)
Foundry vs Alpha Halo packs

Two skin packs exist and people mix them up: the Foundry Armory Pack was the pre-order bonus for any edition (2001 Mark V armor skin, 2001 Assault Rifle skin, and Gilded Onyx armor + AR styles). The Alpha Halo Armory Pack is the Premium/Collector's-only pack (5 armor + 6 weapon skins). Pre-ordering Premium/Collector's got you both.

Collector's Edition

The $199.99 Collector's Edition is the full Premium content plus physical memorabilia — the headline item being a display statue, alongside the other collector trinkets (detailed in the official store listing). Platform notes:

  • Xbox Series X and PS5 versions: include the physical game disc + a voucher code for the Premium Edition Upgrade content.
  • Steam version: a digital Premium Edition voucher code (single code covering base game + upgrade content) — no disc, obviously.
  • It sold out within a day of pre-orders (June 7-8, 2026), and Halo Studios has stated there are no plans to restock.
  • Physical Collector's Editions do not include Xbox Play Anywhere (that's digital-only).
If you want the Collector's Edition, you're out of luck (for now)

The Collector's Edition sold out on the first day of pre-orders and there are no announced restocks. Secondary-market prices are well above $199.99. If you missed it, the Premium content is available as the $20 Upgrade — the physical statue is the only truly exclusive piece.

Physical Disc & Bonuses

  • Physical versions exist for Xbox Series X and PS5 (Standard and Collector's). No physical PC edition.
  • PS5 physical copies require a full download (~40GB per community reports) — the disc is a license key more than a full game delivery, which was a launch talking point.
  • Physical purchases do not grant Xbox Play Anywhere (digital-only benefit).
  • Any edition pre-ordered came with the Foundry Armory Pack (2001 Mark V armor + 2001 AR + Gilded Onyx styles).

Skin Codes & Redeemable Content

There are no free in-game redeemable codes in Halo: Campaign Evolved — the skins come from the editions themselves, not codes you hunt for:

  • Foundry Armory Pack: tied to pre-orders of any edition (and included in Premium/Collector's).
  • Alpha Halo Armory Pack: tied to Premium, Collector's, or the $20 Premium Upgrade.
  • On Xbox/PS5 Collector's Editions, the digital content arrives via a voucher code printed in the box — redeem it in the platform store, and the armor/weapon skins appear in-game (visible in first person on your arms/legs, and fully in third person when the Perspective skull is active).
Where your skins show up

With the Perspective skull (third-person camera, from The Pillar of Autumn), you can actually see your armor customization during gameplay — which makes the skin packs far more visible than in classic first-person play. Details on the skulls overview.

Which Edition Should You Buy?

  • Game Pass subscriber? Play the base game free; buy the $20 Premium Upgrade only if you want the skins/artbook.
  • Just want the game? Standard at $49.99 — the Premium's extra value is cosmetics and digital extras, nothing gameplay-changing.
  • Skins collector? Premium at $69.99 gets you both skin packs (via pre-order Foundry + Alpha Halo) plus early access — but early access is over now, so weigh it as cosmetics-only.
  • Collector? You'll need the secondary market; the statue is the draw.
