Persona 5 X Codes — Redeem Guide & Current List (2026)

As of August 2026 there are no active redeem codes for the Global and SEA servers of Persona 5: The Phantom X — the last known codes (P5XGRANDOPEN, P5X0418OPEN, RACEQUEEN, pancakes) have all expired. When new codes do drop, they're redeemed in-game through the Exchange Code menu, which is available only on the PC version (Steam and Google Play Games) — iOS and Android players cannot use codes at all.

This guide tracks the current status of P5X codes, lists the recent expired ones so you can spot old lists circulating online, and explains exactly how redemption works, why codes fail, and where the developers actually release them. If you're new, our P5X characters guide covers the roster, and the banner and reroll guide explains where your free pulls should go instead.

Per the official SEGA P5X customer support page: "Exchange Codes are exclusive to the PC version of the game (Google Play Games, Steam). Please note that they are not available on iOS, iPad OS, or Android." The same page confirms "there are currently no active Exchange Codes at this time."

Active Codes (August 2026)

None. Multiple code-tracking sites — MobileMatters (last checked July 7, 2026), mein-mmo (June 2026) and IGN — all report zero active Global codes. The game is a year past its June 2025 global launch and hasn't run a code campaign recently, so any list you see promising "working codes" is either old, region-locked to Asia, or fake.

Beware expired-code lists

Nearly every "P5X codes" article online still lists P5XGRANDOPEN and P5X0418OPEN as active. They are not — they were launch-window codes from April 2024 (the China release) and the June 2025 global launch. If a site doesn't show a verification date, treat its codes as dead.

Recently Expired Codes

These codes were real but have since expired — you'll see them circulating on old articles and YouTube thumbnails:

Code Region Notes
P5XGRANDOPEN Global launch Launch celebration code (June 2025)
P5X0418OPEN Asia China launch window (April 2024)
P5X2024041810 Asia China launch window
RACEQUEEN Asia Collab/social campaign code
pancakes Asia Community campaign code
P3R collab codes (KR / TW) KR / TW Persona 3 Reload collab codes
Localized P3R collab codes (KR) KR Korean-launch Persona 3 Reload collab codes
Localized P3R collab codes (CN) CN Chinese-launch Persona 3 Reload collab codes

The Asia-locked codes (the Chinese, Korean and Traditional Chinese localized strings) only work on the CN, KR and TW servers respectively — entering them on Global returns an error even when unexpired.

How to Redeem P5X Codes

The steps are identical on Steam and Google Play Games PC (per SEGA support and every guide):

  1. Complete the prologue — the Exchange Code option unlocks after the story segment "Discover a Secret World," roughly 20-30 minutes in.
  2. Open the in-game smartphone — it's the icon at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Select "Exchange Code" — type or paste the code exactly, then confirm.
  4. Claim from your mailbox — the reward arrives in the in-game mail; some campaigns also require a minimum level.

Codes are single-use per account, so double-check for extra spaces or swapped characters before confirming.

Where to actually find codes

New P5X codes are released almost exclusively through official channels: the game's official Discord, the X/Twitter accounts (@Persona5X_EN and region equivalents), and during live-streamed patch showcases (the "X-Stream" events). They're often valid for only 24-48 hours after a stream, which is why they're so easy to miss.

Why Codes Fail — and What to Do

  • Expired — most codes have a hard expiry date or a claim window. Nothing to do but wait for the next campaign.
  • Region-locked — Global codes don't work on SEA and vice versa; Asian codes never work on Global. Check which server your account is on.
  • Mobile account — Exchange Codes don't exist on the iOS/Android apps at all (per SEGA support), only on Steam and Google Play Games PC builds.
  • Single-use — one code per UID; if it says "already used," that's it.
  • Not unlocked — you haven't finished the prologue, or you're below the campaign's level requirement.
  • Typo — codes are case-sensitive; copy-paste them rather than typing.

If a code genuinely fails on the correct platform, the SEGA P5X support hub is the official place to file a ticket.

Alternatives When There Are No Codes

No codes doesn't mean no free pulls. P5X hands out currency through events, login campaigns and the mail system — the Game8 mail-rewards tracker logs every developer-sent reward, and the current 1st-anniversary celebration (June 25 – July 30, 2026) has been distributing Platinum Tickets and Meta Jewels directly to inboxes, no code required. Keep an eye on the P5X banner schedule to know when to spend them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any active Persona 5 X codes right now? No — as of August 2026, all known Global codes have expired and no new ones have been released since the anniversary campaign. Asia-server codes exist but don't work on Global accounts.

How do I redeem codes in Persona 5: The Phantom X? Finish the prologue, open the in-game smartphone menu (bottom right), tap "Exchange Code," enter the code and confirm, then claim the reward from your mailbox.

Why won't my P5X code work? Most likely expired or region-locked; codes also fail on mobile (they're PC-only), on already-used accounts, or if the redemption feature isn't unlocked yet.

Can I redeem P5X codes on mobile? No — Exchange Codes are exclusive to the PC version (Steam and Google Play Games) per official SEGA support. iOS and Android have no redemption menu.

Where do new P5X codes get released? The official Discord, the game's X/Twitter accounts, and during the live "X-Stream" update showcases — usually with a 24-48 hour redemption window.
