Persona 5 The Phantom X Characters — Full Cast & Personas

Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X) stars a new protagonist, Wonder (canonical name Nagisa Kamishiro), whose initial Persona is Jánošík — plus a rotating roster of "Phantom Idols," cognitive Persona users drawn from people Wonder meets. The free-to-play spinoff launched globally in late June 2025 and reuses Persona 5's Metaverse structure with a new Tokyo story — one we map out in our Persona 5 locations guide — and it's Japanese-voice-only in every region: there is no English dub.

Per the official Persona5: The Phantom X website, the game is "the first official mobile game of Persona 5, officially licensed by SEGA, co-developed with ATLUS, and produced by Perfect World Games" — it's a standalone story set in a parallel Tokyo, not a sequel to Persona 5 Royal.

The Protagonist: Wonder (Nagisa Kamishiro)

Wonder is the silent protagonist, canonically named Nagisa Kamishiro in the Japanese, Global and SEA releases. He's a second-year student at Kokatsu Academy who lives alone in Zoshigaya, Tokyo while his parents are abroad. Like Joker, he's a Wild Card-style user — but instead of 12 Persona slots, Wonder can equip up to three Personas at once (starting with one, expanded by leveling), and he's a Gun Assassin combat unit.

• Initial Persona: Jánošík — named after Juraj Jánošík, the Slovak highwayman who robbed the rich to give to the poor, the same rebel-hero tradition as Joker's Arsène. The official site and Game8's Wonder guide both confirm Jánošík as his starting Persona.
• Velvet Room — his attendants are Merope (a new assistant) and the familiar long-nosed Igor, who warns Wonder of a ruinous future.
• Voice — voiced by Kouki Uchiyama in Japanese (Soul Eater's Soul, Guilty Crown's Shu, Infinite Stratos' Ichika), per GameRant's P5X cast list.

The New Phantom Thieves of Hearts

The story party in the Global/SEA build, per Hardcore Gamer's character list:

Lufel (codenamed "Cattle" — nobody explains why) is the Morgana of this game: a mysterious owl creature who guides Wonder, knows the Metaverse, and can transform into a vehicle for travel. Motoha is the Ryuji-like first friend, Shun the gruff protector, and Riko the strategist who formally joins in Chapter 3 (Version 2.0 era content).

The Phantom Idols

Phantom Idols are cognitive manifestations — Persona users born from the cognition of people Wonder encounters, recruited through the gacha "Contracts" system. This is where most of the roster lives, and new Idols are added roughly every 2-3 weeks:

Combat roles in P5X follow an eight-class system — Assassin (single-target DPS), Sweeper (AoE DPS), Strategist (buff support), Saboteur (debuffs), Medic (healing), Guardian (tanking/shields), Elucidator (navigator support) and Virtuoso (role-switching units introduced in Version 2.7). Wonder himself can fill any role by swapping the Personas in his three slots.

No English Dub — The Japanese Cast

P5X ships with Japanese voice acting only, in every region. The original Persona 5 voice actors reprise their roles (Ikue Otani as Morgana, Mamoru Miyano as Ryuji, and so on), while the new cast includes:
