No More Room in Hell 2 Maps — All 9 Maps & Objective Guide (2026)

No More Room in Hell 2 ships with nine maps at its Armageddon 1.0 launch: six Scenario (objective) maps — Power Plant, Pottsville, Lewiston, Broadway, Beaulieu Hospital, and the new Raven Rock — plus three Survival maps — Flooded, Lighthouse, and Night of the Living Dead. Every map shares the same loop (loot, complete objectives, extract) but each plays completely differently: rural wilderness, linear small-town suburbs, urban transit chokepoints, a daytime hospital, and an underground military bunker. This guide covers every map, what its objective chain looks like, and which ones are worth learning first.

Here's what you'll learn:

  • The complete 9-map list, split into Scenario and Survival modes
  • Every Scenario map's layout, objective beats, and extraction route
  • What each Survival map changes about the wave loop
  • Which maps are beginner-friendly and which are endgame material
  • How objectives and extraction differ between maps (trains, boats, helicopters, hatches)

How Many Maps Are in No More Room in Hell 2?

There are 9 maps in total: 6 objective-based Scenario maps and 3 Survival maps. The official update notes confirm Raven Rock as "our sixth Objective map," with the Survival trio (Flooded, Night of the Living Dead, Lighthouse) arriving alongside it in the same Armageddon update. Scenario maps are the original mode: you spawn around the edges of a large area, work through named locations and critical objectives, then hit a finale and extract. Survival maps are smaller, wave-based holdouts built around loudspeaker defense — the full wave loop is covered in our Survival mode guide.

Scenario Maps: Layouts, Objectives & Extraction

Every Scenario map follows the same skeleton — named locations → critical objectives → finale → extraction — but the details, scale, and flow are unique to each. The 1.0 patch also made all of them more dynamic: "Objectives now scale in difficulty based on the remaining player count available at its start," per the official update notes, and Tier 3 weapons spawn later in runs. Extraction methods vary wildly: helicopters, trains, boats, and rope extractions all exist.

Power Plant (First Map — Rural Pennsylvania)

The launch map and still the one most players cut their teeth on. Responders spawn at 15 spawn areas scattered around the map's edges and work inward toward the Pennsylvania Light & Electric Power Plant at the center, stopping at lookouts and outposts — the Lookout Tower, Ranger Station, Bar, Sawmill, Train Derailment, and Radio Station — along the way. Each named location has an optional objective (power restoration, fuse fixes, code terminals) that opens a stash room with better loot.

The finale is the classic boot-up sequence: players read a randomly generated code from a code book, input it at a terminal, and cycle through a set of generator boxes to charge the plant, with the code changing between rounds. The Armageddon patch removed the Bio-Scanner objective from the early game here and made stash-room loot scale with player count. Gas clouds, red barrels, and the plant's industrial corridors make this the map where you learn NMRIH2's real lessons — which is exactly why the beginner's guide treats Power Plant as the training ground.

Pottsville (Second Map — Linear Small Town)

Added in the April 2025 Reanimation update, Pottsville is a deliberately linear map: you start on the outskirts of the suburbs and work through three neighborhoods (with randomized houses) into Midtown, then Downtown, ending at the Town Square. There are 8 spawn locations arranged in a curve around the bottom of the map. Real-world landmarks inspired the set pieces — City Hall and the Community Center echo the actual Pottsville City Hall and Schuylkill YMCA.

The objective chain includes a scientist-body investigation, an antenna upload holdout in Downtown, and — new in 1.0 — a radio tune-up beat before extraction. The patch also locked the back doors of downtown stores and made the Midtown/Downtown gates open together. Pottsville is tighter and more claustrophobic than Power Plant, with alleyways and buildings that punish splitting up.

Lewiston (Third Map — Urban, Fastest to Finish)

Lewiston puts you inside one of two barricaded stores in a city that's already been lost. It's an urban map with tight streets, a train tunnel puzzle, a chapel that requires a Bio-Scanner objective when you're retrieving hard drives, a hard-drive upload beat in the library, and a finale where gates must be powered before they open. Extraction is by train (with a boat alternative — the console achievement is literally called "Rail or Sail").

In practice, Lewiston is the community's pick for the fastest map to finish — several Steam reviewers noted it can be cleared quicker than any other Scenario map, though its corridors make it easy to get boxed in. The 1.0 patch "blocked some unintentional pathways that enabled the map to be completed too quickly," so expect slightly longer runs than in Early Access.

Broadway (Fourth Map — Urban Transit District)

Broadway is the rainy, neon-drenched city map — think Queens streets under a train line, per the official fiction — with the Diner, a Courthouse full of C4, and a Movie Theatre as its set pieces. The objective chain pushes you across the district before the finale, and extraction offers a choice: a helicopter rope rappel (a notoriously chaotic 20-second-per-person interaction under runner pressure) or the train route, which requires clearing debris off the track first.

Keep a radio for Broadway's extraction

Community wisdom on Broadway: hold onto a radio you find early. When the helo arrives and runners are spawning every few seconds, a radio's distraction is one of the few ways to buy the squad enough time to get everyone on the rope.

The 1.0 patch added a rooftop shortcut around the Diner, spread the Courthouse C4 out more evenly, and tuned the Movie Theatre's zombie pressure.

Beaulieu Hospital (Fifth Map — Daytime, Bio-Scanners)

Beaulieu Hospital was the franchise's first daytime map, and it introduced the Bio-Scanner objective type: instead of the old "find 3 radios to find a body" scenario, players now scan bodies and objects to progress. The map's beats involve ventilation parts that must be carried to a ventilation van, security nodes that need destroying (they beep spatially so you can locate them), and ward objectives that only matter when relevant to the chain — the patch notes specifically fixed players interacting with bodies in unrelated wards.

Hospital corridors, patient rooms, and dark stairwells make it a stealth-favoring map where noise discipline matters; the zombies guide explains why drawing runners in tight indoor spaces is so dangerous.

Raven Rock (Sixth Map — Military Bunker)

Raven Rock is the newest Scenario map and the biggest departure: you start above ground near an underground military bunker in southern Pennsylvania, then descend into it for the majority of the run — the CRC needs you to investigate the fate of the emergency operations personnel and, ultimately, extract the facility director. It's the most objective-dense map in the game, with code entry, power restoration, bio-scanner phases, a detonator circuit, and a train extraction. Because it launched with 1.0, we've given it a full dedicated page: see the Raven Rock map guide & walkthrough.

Survival Maps: Flooded, Lighthouse & Night of the Living Dead

Survival mode replaces the objective chain with loudspeaker defense: hold each of three speaker sets for five minutes per wave, with supply drops between waves, then extract by helicopter after wave three (early extraction opens if you fail two waves). Each of the three maps changes the fight significantly — the full wave loop and trap breakdown is in our Survival mode guide:

  • Flooded — a storm-damaged industrial complex in rural Pennsylvania. Groundwater covers much of the map, making zombies harder to confirm as slain (they reanimate underwater) and dry loot-sharing spots rare.
  • Lighthouse — a coastal cliffside holdout with a small neighborhood and abandoned construction outside the lighthouse itself. The interior is full of tight spaces that lead to quick deaths; it's the map that punishes indoor fighting most.
  • Night of the Living Dead — the classic farmhouse siege, expanded with a guest house (open floor plan, garage tools, a cellar) and a barn (the largest interior, with lofts for longer-range play). The farmhouse remains a three-floor death trap of hallways and staircases.

Per the official Road to 1.0: Survival & Night of the Living Dead dev blog: "This map offers the ultimate classic zombie experience of holding out against a relentless wave of zombies in a rural home. The farm house remains the heart of the map, with three distinct floors you'll need to maintain control over."

Which Map Should You Play?

  • First-time players: Power Plant. It's the map everyone learned on, its open layout forgives mistakes, and the code/generator finale is the franchise's signature teaching moment. Run it on Beginner/Normal (see how difficulty changes respawn rules before committing a kitted Responder).
  • Quick sessions: Lewiston — routinely the shortest Scenario run once your squad knows the route.
  • Squad coordination practice: Broadway — the double extraction choice forces real teamwork.
  • Hardcore challenge: Raven Rock on Hard/Nightmare is the new endgame test, followed by the Nightmare-tuned Survival maps.
  • Solo practice: any map in Solo Mode, which has zero permadeath risk while you learn routes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many maps are in No More Room in Hell 2?
