What the Remnant 2 Ultimate Edition includes — Survival Pack, three DLC packs, armor sets — and how it compares to Standard and Deluxe in 2026.
Remnant 2 Ultimate Edition — What's Included and Is It Worth Buying?
Short answer: the Ultimate Edition ($69.99) bundles the base game, three armor sets, the Survival Pack and all three DLCs — it's the cheapest way to own the complete Remnant 2 if you plan to buy the expansions anyway. Compared to buying the base game ($49.99) plus the DLC bundle separately ($24.99), you save about $5 and get the Survival Pack free. This guide breaks down exactly what each edition contains, what the DLCs add, and who should (and shouldn't) pay the premium.

The Three Editions, Compared
Remnant 2 launched with three editions on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S:
| Edition | Price | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | $49.99 | Base game only |
| Deluxe | $59.99 | Base game + 3 Remnant: From the Ashes armor sets (Elder, Radiant, Void) |
| Ultimate | $69.99 | Base game + 3 armor sets + Survival Pack + DLC bundle (3 packs) + 3-day early access |
Pre-ordering any edition unlocked the Gunslinger archetype early (it's unlockable in-game for everyone else — see our archetypes guide). The Ultimate Edition also granted three days of early access, letting buyers play on July 22, 2023, three days before the July 25 launch.
What's Actually in the Ultimate Edition
The Survival Pack
A small head-start bundle of consumables worth about 30 minutes of early-game grinding:
- 2 Mudtooth Elixirs (15% XP boost for 1 hour each)
- 5 Bloodroot (healing over time)
- 3 Ammo Boxes
- 1,000 Scrap
- 10 Iron
The 3 Remnant: From the Ashes Armor Sets
Elder, Radiant and Void — the classic sets from the 2019 game. Important detail: these are early access, not exclusives. All three can be unlocked through normal gameplay in Remnant 2 (the Void set in particular is a fan favorite for its look). The Deluxe Edition's entire value proposition is these sets, which is why most buying guides (including ours — see our review) call Deluxe the worst value of the three.
The DLC Bundle
The real reason to buy Ultimate. The bundle (sold separately for $24.99) includes all three expansions, each also available standalone at $9.99:
- The Awakened King (Nov 14, 2023) — a Losomn story expansion with the Ritualist archetype
- The Forgotten Kingdom (Apr 23, 2024) — a Yaesha expansion with the Invoker archetype
- The Dark Horizon (Sep 24, 2024) — the final expansion, set on a corrupted N'Erud, with the Warden archetype
The Dark Horizon also shipped the massive free update that added Boss Rush mode and the Prism system — free for everyone, but the Warden archetype and the DLC's weapons, rings and areas require the DLC. See our prisms guide for the endgame system, and the archetypes guide for the three DLC classes.
Per the Remnant 2 Wiki — DLC page, the Ultimate Edition "includes the base game... the Survival Pack which gives players different items to start the game prepared, and the DLC bundle, which includes access to 3 future DLCs for Remnant 2."
The Math: Is Ultimate Worth $20 Over Standard?
- Standard + DLC bundle = $49.99 + $24.99 = $74.98
- Ultimate Edition = $69.99
So Ultimate is the cheapest full package by about $5, with the Survival Pack as a bonus. If you know you'll play all three DLCs — and the DLC archetypes alone are a strong argument, since Ritualist, Invoker and Warden are all top-tier classes — Ultimate is the right buy at full price.
If you're only curious about the base game, Standard is the sensible entry point: Remnant 2 goes on deep discounts (it has repeatedly hit ~75% off, and it has appeared on Game Pass and PS Plus catalogs at various points — check the current deal before buying anything). You can always add the DLC bundle later.
DLC is platform-tied: The Dark Horizon bought on Steam doesn't unlock on your Xbox copy, and your characters don't carry across platforms anyway (no cross-save). If your group is split between PC and console, every player needs to own the game and ideally the DLCs on their own platform — our crossplay guide covers how the sessions actually connect.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Remnant 2 Ultimate Edition include?
The base game, the Elder/Radiant/Void armor sets, the Survival Pack (2 Mudtooth Elixirs, 5 Bloodroot, 3 Ammo Boxes, 1,000 Scrap, 10 Iron), the full DLC bundle (Awakened King, Forgotten Kingdom, Dark Horizon), and 3-day early access.
How much does the Remnant 2 Ultimate Edition cost?
$69.99 on Steam, PS5 and Xbox (regional pricing varies, and it's frequently discounted up to 75% during Steam sales).
Is the Remnant 2 Ultimate Edition worth it?
If you want all three DLCs, yes — it's ~$5 cheaper than buying base + DLC bundle separately, plus the Survival Pack. If you're unsure about the expansions, buy Standard on sale and decide later.
What's the difference between Deluxe and Ultimate Edition?
Deluxe ($59.99) adds only the three armor sets. Ultimate ($69.99) adds those sets plus the Survival Pack, the three-DLC bundle and early access. The Deluxe's armor sets are unlockable in-game anyway, making it the weakest deal.
Do Remnant 2 DLCs carry across platforms?
No. DLC is tied to the platform/store where you bought it, and Remnant 2 has no cross-save, so characters and purchases stay on one ecosystem. Buy the DLCs on the platform where your main character lives.
