All Helldivers 2 Vehicles — Full List, Unlocks and Tier List (2026)

Helldivers 2 has eight vehicles as of mid-2026: four Exosuit mechs (Patriot, Emancipator, Lumberer, Breakthrough), three Fast Recon Vehicle variants (M-102, M-103 Supply, M-104 Incinerator) and the TD-220 Bastion tank destroyer. Every vehicle is a Supply stratagem that arrives by Pelican — the transport ship is armed with an autocannon and will shoot at enemies during the delivery. Vehicles went from a novelty to a core part of the meta after Update 6.3.0 (June 16, 2026) rebalanced vehicle armor and cut mech cooldowns, and the July 2026 u.gg vehicle tier list now ranks them properly for the first time.

This guide lists every vehicle in the game, what it's armed with, how to unlock it, and which ones actually pull their weight on the current meta.

How vehicle call-ins work

Vehicles are Supply stratagems: type the code, throw the beacon, and a Pelican flies in with the vehicle. Pelicans are armed and will engage enemies on the way in. Exosuits have a melee stomp, deal splash damage when walking, and can trample scrub — but they can also squash teammates, so watch your feet in a squad.

Exosuits (Mechs): The Four Walkers

The mechs are the "power fantasy" vehicles — big armored walkers with shoulder weapons. If you searched "helldivers 2 mech," this is what you're looking for. Key facts:

  • EXO-45 Patriot — the classic starter mech: a rocket launcher for heavies and a heavy machine gun for chaff. Great generalist.
  • EXO-49 Emancipator — swaps to dual autocannons: high fire rate, medium-armor shredding, slower against very heavy units. The crowd-control pick.
  • EXO-51 Lumberer — anti-tank cannon + flamethrower combo from a Warbond; the versatile front-liner that handles both armored units and infantry waves.
  • EXO-55 Breakthrough — the newest variant, added with the 2026 mech updates; a heavier brawler built for pushing fortifications.

Mech mechanics worth knowing: exosuits take limb damage — lose an arm and you permanently lose that arm's weapon for the mission; cripple a leg and the mech hobbles and can be destroyed. Update 6.3.0 buffed them across the board: health went from 1,600 to 1,800 (arms 600→800, legs 400→550) and the cooldown dropped from 10 minutes to 8, specifically so mechs see more play.

Official source: Helldivers Wiki — M-102 Fast Recon Vehicle — "Also known as the FRV, it's a light vehicle of the Super Earth Armed Forces, added in the Omens of Tyranny update, premiering along with the return of the Illuminate."

The FRV Family: Three Flavors of Jeep

The M-102 Fast Recon Vehicle arrived with Omens of Tyranny (December 2024) alongside the Illuminate and became the community's favorite toy. It seats five: a driver, a rear gunner on the pintle-mounted heavy machine gun, and three passengers who can fire their own weapons, throw grenades and even call stratagems while riding. It spawns in the field near friendly objectives in city biomes, and it's the vehicle most people mean when they say "the FRV."

In 2026 it got siblings:

  • M-103 Supply FRV — a support variant that carries resupply pods; deployed as an operational variation on Basquine VIII during Operation Census Thunder, and made a permanent stratagem permit for all participants after the operation completed. The supply-variant FRV is the sustain pick for long missions.
  • M-104 Incinerator FRV — the assault variant with a flamethrower turret that melts crowds; community breakdowns (IGGM and others) call it a close-range scorcher that out-damages the Lumberer's flamer at a fraction of the unlock cost. Update 6.3.0's vehicle rebalance also made both FRVs tankier (health 2,000→2,400, door and tire buffs).
FRV driving tips

The FRV flips easily — fire hydrants in cities and Terminid bug mines can both send it airborne. The hand brake is your friend, and switching seats has a short delay, so don't swap from driver to gunner mid-chase. A Shield Generator Pack equipped while inside the FRV negates some incoming shots, same as in exosuits.

The TD-220 Bastion: Helldivers 2's Tank

The TD-220 Bastion Mk XVI is the big one: a heavily armored, tracked casemate tank destroyer added in the Into the Unjust 6.0.1 update, succeeding the TD-110 Bastion from the First Galactic War. It moves at up to 32 km/h and carries a 120mm HV cannon plus a heavy coaxial machine gun, and per the official wiki it needs at least two Helldivers to operate. The 6.3.0 armor rebalance gave it heavy armor — the intent, per the patch notes, is that the Bastion "should feel 'tankier' and ignore small attacks, withstand more medium attacks," while larger enemies and heavy ordnance can still threaten it. It's the only true armored fighting vehicle in the game, and the answer to "is there a tank in Helldivers 2?" is yes — our tank guide covers its loadout and driving in detail.

How to Unlock Vehicles

Unlocks are split between Requisition Slips at the Patriotic Administration Center and Warbonds/operations:

  • Patriot and Emancipator — unlockable early with Requisition Slips once you reach the required level.
  • Lumberer — 50 Medals from its Warbond page (per IGGM's breakdown of the 6.3 vehicles).
  • Breakthrough — Warbond/operation unlock, 2026.
  • M-102 FRV — originally a Major Order reward, now a permanent PAC unlock.
  • M-103 / M-104 FRVs — operation rewards (Census Thunder for the M-103) and Update 6.3 content respectively.
  • Bastion — from the Into the Unjust content update; requires two operators.

Which Vehicles Are Worth It? (2026 Tier)

The July 2026 u.gg vehicle tier list ranks the roster, and the community consensus lines up with three clear bands:

  • S-tier: Bastion — firepower, armor and spectacle; it's the endgame tank, if you can crew it.
  • A-tier: Patriot exosuit, Incinerator FRV, Supply FRV — the Patriot is the reliable all-rounder mech; the Incinerator FRV is the best cheap offensive vehicle; the Supply FRV solves ammo problems for the whole squad.
  • B-tier: Emancipator, Lumberer, Breakthrough, standard FRV — all usable; the Emancipator and standard FRV are fine on lower difficulties, and the Breakthrough is still finding its niche post-6.3.
Don't bring a vehicle to every mission

Vehicles are loud, big and fragile in the wrong biome. On Illuminate urban missions they're excellent; on dense Terminid jungle maps they get bogged down and surrounded. If your squad isn't coordinated enough to keep one alive, you're better off with a standard support weapon loadout — a lost Bastion is a lot of cooldown down the drain.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many vehicles are in Helldivers 2?

Eight as of mid-2026: the EXO-45 Patriot, EXO-49 Emancipator, EXO-51 Lumberer and EXO-55 Breakthrough exosuits, the M-102 Fast Recon Vehicle, the M-103 Supply FRV, the M-104 Incinerator FRV, and the TD-220 Bastion tank destroyer.

What is the best vehicle in Helldivers 2?

The TD-220 Bastion is the consensus top pick — heavy armor, a 120mm HV cannon, and the only real tank in the game. Among mechs, the EXO-45 Patriot is the best all-rounder; among jeeps, the Incinerator FRV is the best offensive option after Update 6.3.

How do you unlock the Bastion tank?

The TD-220 Bastion came with the Into the Unjust 6.0.1 update. It's a Supply stratagem that requires at least two Helldivers to operate and is available once you have the permit from that content.

Are exosuits (mechs) worth using?

Yes, especially after Update 6.3.0: mech health rose to 1,800, and the cooldown dropped from 10 to 8 minutes. The Patriot is a strong all-rounder and the Lumberer handles heavies and hordes; just remember limb damage can cost you a weapon arm permanently.

Can you drive vehicles in Helldivers 2?

Yes. Vehicles are called in as stratagems and driven by players. The FRV seats five (driver, gunner, three passengers), exosuits are single-operator, and the Bastion needs two crew members.
